about
I visited Nashville in 2016 and I met up with a friend who lives in California. We speak on FaceTime all the time but rarely get the chance to meet up and hang out in person because of the distance.
When we got to Nashville we went out and mingled at bars and got invited to parties, but our favourite times were hanging out in the AirBnb, watching the crown and laughing and singing songs together.
I wondered if maybe it was a waste to fly all the way to Nashville to sit in an AirBnb. But how often do you have the time to sit and do nothing? That time with your favourite people is precious.
lyrics
Remember that time
That we did nothing?
We had nowhere to be
We didn’t have a whole lot of cash
So we just stayed at home and watched TV
Remember that time
That we did something?
Making some new memories
We both agreed It was more than we needed
Because all that we need comes for free
I would travel the whole world
Just to do nothing with you
Would you like to do nothing with me too?
Remember that time
We spent all our money
Flying to somewhere new?
We walked around that unfamiliar town
Looking for something to do
Remember that time that we stayed up all night
Baring our souls face to face?
In the back of my mind I thought
“we’re wasting our time”
But at least we’ve got time we can waste
I would travel the whole world
Just to do nothing with you
Would you like to do nothing with me too?
