about
I visited a small town in Greece to play a festival - Matala. When I was there I met 15 year old Katarina who told me she wants to write songs. She had a book full of lyrics and poems and we sat down and wrote this together using her words and my music. About how her town comes to life every year when the festival arrives.
lyrics
Today is life and tomorrow never comes
That's what they say down in Matala
Hippies all around they're dancing in the dark
Living in the caves and loving in their hearts
Woah woah
Woah woah
Peace and love and kissing under the stars
Feels like the night is never ending, we're in paradise
Stars are glowing waves are sending messages to the sky
Come with me and I'll show you it's beauty
Sea smell all around and even paintings on the ground
Friendly people to help you out
Flowers in out hair and our hands to the sky
We don't even care if we live or die
Just want peace and love and kissing under the stars
Feels like the night is never ending, we're in paradise
Stars are glowing waves are sending messages to the sky
Come with me and I'll show you it's beauty
Woah woah
Woah woah
Woah woah
Woah woah
Just want peace and love and kissing under the stars
Feels like the night is never ending, we're in paradise
Stars are glowing waves are sending messages to the sky
Come with me and I'll show you it's beauty
Today is life and tomorrow never comes
That's what they say down in Matala
